My name is Norma and I am a mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, teacher and photographer. I am sure I can add to the list! I have been married to my very supportive husband for 8 years. We met in San Antonio while we were both in the Air Force. We were married in 2003 and in April 2004 we had our beautiful baby girl. She is what inspired me to pursue my photography. She was so beautiful, it only made sense to capture her smiles all the time. My hobby quickly turned into a small business that I was able to share my talent with others. I decided that it was time to separate from the military so that one of us did not have to worry about being deployed.
I finished my Bachelors in Business Management and earned my Teaching certification in 4-8 generalist and ec-12 special education. My first year of teaching was as an inclusion teacher in special education. I absolutely loved it! Half through the school year I became pregnant with our son. My husband decided that he was going to transfer from the Air Force to the Army. So by the end of the school year we had moved from San Antonio to Fort Leonard Wood, MO. after spending 9 years in Texas, I was a little nervous to be moving.
In July 2010, we started our new journey. I decided to stay at home with the baby for the year we would be here. I am pretty sure I have adult ADHD and so it is impossible for me to sit still. I decided that I needed to really step up my photography and so I did.
From Sep 2010 to Dec 2010, I have done over 90 sessions. It has truly been a wonderful experience and I am so thankful for all the support I have here.
